Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starship, hailed as the world's biggest rocket, was
destroyed during its first flight test in Boca Chica, Texas. The uncrewed rocket
was destroyed after four minutes into the flight test, but Musk congratulated
his SpaceX team on a successful test of the spacecraft that is designed to send
astronauts to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
Despite the failed launch, SpaceX declared the test a success and learned
significant lessons that would help improve the next launch of Starship,
scheduled for a few months from now. SpaceX has been contracted by NASA to
ferry
astronauts to the Moon in late 2025. |
