Perseverance, the sweat under the scorching sun; perseverance, the wind
propelling you towards success; perseverance, the wings carrying us to soar in
the clear skies of dreams. I believe that all the brilliance of today comes from
the unwavering efforts of the past. Marie Curie, the mother of radium,
abandoned her once-beautiful appearance and persisted in the research of radium
rays. It was her indomitable and tenacious heart that led her to the lectern of
the French Academy of Sciences, becoming a shining star in history.
Success through perseverance demands the payment of sweat. Just like
Einstein, who, in his pursuit of prolonging the life of a light bulb, tested six
thousand filaments before finally inventing one with a lifespan of over a
thousand hours. It took tremendous perseverance and dedication to achieve this
remarkable feat. Today, money has become the weapon of this century, a treasure
that can buy even longevity. To those who are always attached to their phones
and gaming devices, I ask, have you ever persevered? Can you buy perseverance?
I recall a conversation between my father and his friend, the owner of a
five-star hotel. My father said, "Back in the day, you were just a small
business owner, but now, you've achieved so much in your writing career." His
friend sighed, "I never imagined I would come this far. I think hope and
perseverance have been what kept me going till today." Time flies like an arrow;
why not seize this opportune moment and persevere with all our might?
I believe there is an elderly person deeply respected by you and me. She is
in her eighties or nineties, and the wrinkles on her face recount her
experiences over the years. However, she refuses to succumb to the time taken
away from her. Despite her advanced age, she persists in climbing mountains. Her
perseverance makes her appear much younger. Yes, time passes swiftly, but with a
heart full of perseverance, what can't we achieve?
In the world of nature, wonders abound, and many fish and creatures embrace
perseverance. One such creature is the river mussel. Perhaps we rarely
contemplate the origin of pearls, and it might be hard to fathom how river
mussels produce them. It truly amazes me. As river mussels open and close in the
sea, inevitably, sand and debris find their way into their shells with the ebb
and flow of the seawater. However, their perseverance turns an inconspicuous
grain of sand into a priceless pearl. This process must take several hundred
years at least. The story of the river mussel and the pearl deeply moves me.
Perseverance is the most precious wealth, and it is the starting point of
people's dreams.
Now, I ask you, have you persevered? If you have, let the wings of
perseverance accompany us as we soar higher and higher! |
