An Extraordinary Mentor and Guide |
|
She, an ordinary yet extraordinary person; she, a plain-looking yet immensely
noble person; she, an unnoticed yet selflessly dedicated person. She is our
class teacher, Teacher Xiang.
In the second grade, Teacher Xiang took over our class for a semester. My grades
were not outstanding, and I was a timid little girl. Sometimes, I would prepare
my thoughts in my mind, but as soon as I spoke, nervousness would take over, and
I would forget the answers, standing there at a loss. However, the teacher kept
encouraging me and my classmates, saying that right or wrong was not important
as long as we were willing to think.
I remember one day, during the break, the students were playing energetically.
Suddenly, a male classmate accidentally bumped his head and immediately had a
big bump, blood flowing everywhere. The students panicked and quickly took him
to the teacher's office. Upon seeing this, the teacher hurriedly covered his
wound with tissues and assisted him to the volunteer room for treatment. During
the next class, the teacher criticized the students for being too mischievous,
but her tone revealed more concern.
In the past, when we were young, our school had to create bulletin boards within
a certain period. The teacher would give up half of her rest time to create
bulletin boards for us. Seeing us enthusiastically reading the stories on the
bulletin boards, the teacher's efforts were not in vain. In the past, when we
couldn't understand the text, the teacher would patiently teach it again and
again. Seeing our improvement, the teacher's sweat was not in vain. In the past,
when we didn't recognize many characters, even so, the teacher encouraged us to
read extracurricular books. Now we actively read books, and the teacher's
efforts were not in vain... Now, as we grow up, the teacher continues to
patiently educate us and provides us with many opportunities for development:
selecting class leaders, organizing class meetings... These are opportunities
for us to enhance our expressive abilities and showcase our talents, aren't
they?
Teacher, I am a small boat, and you are the vast ocean. Without you, how could I
embark on a long journey? Teacher, I am a spring, and you are the lofty
mountain. Without you, how could I trickle and flow? Teacher, I am a young
sapling, and you are the rainwater. Without you, how could I grow strong? You
use the nourishment of knowledge to sow the blossoms of our ideals; you use the
wellspring of your soul to nurture the beautiful fruits of our character. In the
not-so-distant future, whether I become a tall poplar or an inconspicuous
wildflower, teacher, I will pay tribute to you with all my verdant colors! I
sincerely say to you, "Teacher, thank you!" |
